That said I was surprised that in August 2022 Jeremy Mackenzie was able to take pictures with Pierre Poilievre. This was prior to Jeremy making statements about sexually assaulting Pierre Poilievre's wife, but it was after he had been in the news for multiple arrests. You would think that at least one staffer could have recognized him.
It's not like the CPC isn't capable of denying people access to their events. Recently Pierre Poilievre was in Winnipeg and Shadoe Davis was denied because he was labeled "a known agitator". Shadoe recently promoted the Nazi propaganda documentary series Europa: The Last Battle. He has also interviewed Jeremy Mackenzie.
Last week Jeremy Mackenzie decided to take his largely online Diagolon project offline and held his first rally in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This evolution of Diagolon is known as Second Sons, which has been advertised as a Diagolon branded Active Club.
After pictures surfaced of the rally and news articles were written about it Jeremy and his lawyer Fred Wu refuted the claims that it was a rally and wanted it referred to as a photo-op, even though as the Canadian Anti-Hate Network pointed out Jeremy's girlfriend Morgan Guptill referred to the gathering as a "demo".
Afterward Jeremy discussed the rally/photo-op/play-date/circle-jerk on his live stream. He claims that Second Sons members are trying to stay anonymous due to "credible threats" against them. This is an about face from his previous position that no one should be anonymous on the internet, no matter how much he threatens them.
Jeremy isn't happy that Darren Fisher the Liberal MP for Dartmouth-Cole Harbour spoke out against him and his group, referring to them as a "far-right hate group". Jeremy thinks that may constitute defamation even though I could probably write a dissertation based on how true that description is.
Ironically in the same stream he mocks people for not liking his "mean mouth sounds".
On Sunday Halifax residents who were upset about the Neo-Nazi event in their city held an anti-hate rally. Despite the rainy weather they well outnumbered the Second Sons'.... whatever event. Jeremy, Morgan and a couple guys with cameras decided to show up and give them a hard time and were eventually chased off. Being a Neo-Nazi is much easier on the internet.Jeremy claims the he "happily adopted a defensive fighting stance to engage the mob" but.....
... it looked like that. I'll let others be the judge.
