White Nationalists Rallied in Toronto – Plenty of Fail to go Around

Last month Joe Anidjar held his 7th "Canada First" rally in Toronto. They have been promoted as anti "mass immigration" rallies which is considered to be a dog whistle for non-white immigration.

The rally was poorly attended with some notable white nationalists showing up. Second Sons members and supporters Dan (EdgyD) Sleno, Leigh Stuart, and Rob (Primo) Primerano were there.

Members of the Dominion Society were also present.

Neo-Nazi Andrew Benson(CNP, WLM) was in attendance.

Islamophobe Ron Banerjee also showed up.

Anti-LGTBQ+ protestor Chrystal Peters was seen as well.

Second Sons supporter Adrian Keet eventually showed up with Trevor Palmateer after initially going to the wrong location.

A few other interesting people showed up. There was this guy with the "America first" hat at the "Canada first" rally.

Nick Ewanchuk was there holding a Trump flag along with Dallis Nimmo wearing a stars and stripes Canadian flag.

Then there was this guy in a silly costume calling himself "Captain Canada" which had a 51 drawn on his hat, presumably to show support for Donald Trump's statements about making Canada the 51st state. So he's a true Canadian patriot.

Joe gave a speech where he said that without Toronto Police Services in the area they might have a civil war. 

During his speech he spoke out against transgender people. Not sure what that has to do with immigration or Canada first, but whatever.

Another person gave a speech where he ranted about the LGTBQ+ flag. 

Joe during an interview spoke out against transgender people, and he suggested that he would assault someone for using their preferred washroom.

Joe wasn't the only one spreading hatred. Many of the Canada First attendees were abusive towards the counter protestors. This person asks someone to hold his flags so he can punch some people out.

He then threatens to wait down the street for someone and that he would kill them.

He also shouts "shut your trap Jew" at a counter protestor. He also called counter protestors gay and wanted to rush at them.

This woman made some Islamophobic comments towards counter protestors, including that someone should "hang themselves by their keffiyeh.

She also questioned whether a woman who was live streaming was supposed to be on their side....

.... for some reason.

Eventually a conflict arose, mainly between Joe and Leigh Stuart. A few of the grievances mentioned by Leigh are that Joe's protest style is ineffective, while Joe mocked Second Son's methods of wearing masks while posing for pictures in fields with no one around. Leigh also didn't like that Joe's protest included people of colour.

The position of Leigh and Second Sons is that you have to be white to be Canadian. So she ends up mocking a person of colour to his face.

Joe ends up getting in the face of Dan Sleno who up until this point was just recording Leigh.

Eventually Leigh and Dan were chased off.

After praising TPS earlier, Joe was disappointed that they wouldn't let them march.

After the rally, Derek Harrison and Alex Vriend were speaking together on a live stream. Derek made it clear that he thinks Joe is all talk. 

Joe actually had decent things to say about Dominion Society, and said that Rob Primo spoke to him about burying the hatchet with Second Sons. I'm not sure whether Joe is aware that there is a lot of overlap between those groups. 

Alex also accused right-wing content creator Caryma Sa'd of only being there to mine content.

Caryma and her "videographer" Adam Lee Wasserman were also caught on camera complaining to the police about counter protestors wearing masks.

At the end of the day, Joe seemed pretty defeated. He said the turn out was "disappointing" and "underwhelming". 

And I can't say I blame him. The poor attendance, the open bigotry, and the infighting made everyone involved with this Canada First rally look terrible. Which is why I enjoyed watching the footage so much.
